Mary Fran said the desert was in bloom down by Cottonwood so I drove down there and it was marvelous to see Spring come to Joshua Tree.

Brittlebush, member of the sunflower family. Prolific in the area. In the hills around Indio, they looked yellow there were so many of them.

Just as I was driving off, I saw this ocotilla that was still in bloom. Had to first find a place to park and then walk back to get a picture.

I'm sure these are the tiniest daisys in the world, See below. I had to be very careful where I stepped as I didn't want to crush them.

Went to the Living Desert in Palm Desert on Sunday and it was wonderful. The weather was in the mid 80ies and I think I got a little burn.
